Today I wanted to share an image of the winners of the Family Photo Contest. I love having these contests and giving people a chance to win a photo session. This is a glimpse into the past. I captured this image through a door way to an old barn up towards Darrington. I thought this would be a good image to share for my photo of the day. I like the moss and the contrast of the rust on the old bucket.

Day 48 of 365 Photo Journal

Today I wanted to try something different and played around with photographing water droplets. I took a vintage scarf I have and clipped it to a cutting board and stuck it in the sink. I collect scarfs and thought this was a fun pattern to use. I will definitely be practicing this technique more in the future.

Spring is coming soon and all my house plants are blooming! I wanted to share a picture of this one because it came from my Grandma and I love the tiny flowers! I love plants and have them all over our house, they add a little color and bring life to the room.

While driving out in Bow yesterday I finally took a photo of the calf I had been seeing. Growing up around farm animals I have a soft spot for them in my heart. I love the bond between the calf and the cow and wanted to share this image with you all.

Today I was moving things out of the house to store in the barn. I realized I hadn't shared a picture of my license plate collection and wanted to share some of the older ones with you. Today I took a chair my Dad was getting rid of and saved it for photo shoots! I love how rustic it is but how bright it is and how it fits into my car! It was so nice outside today I set the chair out in the field for a test shoot. Hope to use it soon!

This Blue Heron image is from the field across next to our old house in Stanwood. There was so much wild life out there and these birds were some of my favorite things to watch. So large yet so graceful and during the winter they stood out in the field with their heads tucked into their wings like statues in the snow.

This is an image I took at the Japanese Gardens in Bow over last Summer. They have a wonderful garden, koi fish pond and authentic tea house. If you ever make your way out to Bow it's right off Chuckanut Drive 5 minutes past the post office.

Today I wanted to share one of my vintage finds I got from Heidi's Vintage Closet inside Sunken Ship Tattoo in Everett. I had been wanting to go there for a while and am glad I did! They have very vintage, very unique clothes, hats, shoes and more. This is a closeup shot of the vintage Vanity Fair button up bathrobe I found there today.

Today I was Inspired by a photo of the day from a photographer I follow, who did a shot of all her hand bags. I was cleaning out all my accessories and clothes and had all my shoes in the middle of the floor. Shoes are one of my many addictions as a girl and I thought this would make a good photo of the day.
